Happy Anniversary!!!

Today Brandon and I have been married 3 years. Wow, time sure does fly doesn't it. I love him so much and I'm so blessed to have him in my life. He is a wonderful husband that spoils me every single day. He is also a GREAT Daddy!! God certainly blessed me 10 times over by bringing him into my life. I love him more today than I did yesterday, and less than I will tomorrow. Happy Anniversary baby!!

Pics (sorry no update)

My memory card was full and I was just uploading all of the pics. Thought I would just take a minute and post a few of them on here real fast. No update right now though. Sorry I've been a blog slacker. Please take these posted pics as my apology, and I promise to update soon :-)

To Kami

This is Kami Yasko (well, actually in this picture, she was still Kami Ellis). :-) She was such a beautiful bride wasn't she. I found this on my computer today. I love this picture. She lives in New York, and I miss her so much.
Kami, just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you, and I miss you like crazy. I think about you everyday, and pray for you every chance I get. God has great things in store for you. You are my hero!!

love

"Proud to be an American.....

where at least I know I'm free....."

Regardless of who you voted for, history was made. That is something to be proud of. I'm proud to be an American.

From John McCain's speech:
"And I call on all Americans, as I have often in this campaign, to not despair of our present difficulties, but to believe, always, in the promise and greatness of America, because nothing is inevitable here. Americans never quit. We never surrender. We never hide from history. We make history."

From Obama's victory speech last night:
"It's the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled - Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of Red States and Blue States: we are, and always will be, the United States of America."

I wanted to write more on the this blog about how I've been feeling regarding the election and the state of our union and just never could quite come up with the right words. My friend Kami and her husband James are among some of the most brilliant people I know. This is an excerpt from Kami's blog that is exactly what I wanted to say.
"I've been scared in my country for at least the last 5 years. I hope and pray that this is the change we need, and I'm not the only one. Over 62 million people also had that same idea. He wasn't elected BECAUSE he's black, he wasn't elected because he's a socialist (which he's not), he wasn't elected because we're all stupid, he was elected because people want change, they want hope...hope that it will get better. Can he do it? hopefully. I pray that WE can. Americans. It involves all of us, believing and working towards the same cause: Making this country as great as we know it can be. "

BIG ULTRASOUND

So we had our big ultrasound yesterday. I was exactly 21 weeks. It went absolutely perfect. The baby was moving around A LOT in there but everything looked absolutely perfect. Baby is measuring a little bit ahead at 22 weeks 5 days which just means I'll probably be looking at another big baby just like Will. But I'll have a repeat C section probably around 38 weeks, so we are looking at around Feb. 9th or 10th. Other than that, no problems to report whatsoever which we are very grateful for. Definitely an answer to our prayers. God has definitely blessed us richly.

I'm sure everyone is curious to know what we are having......

Well.......

We are very excited to introduce our LITTLE GIRL!!!!! We will be naming her Ella Lee (Ella after my Memaw, Lee is my best friend Meredith's middle name). We are more excited then we can possibly express. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Hurricane Ike

Hey everybody. Just wanted to let everyone know that we are okay. Our street faired very well during the storm, although I can't say that for the rest of the neighborhood, or city for that matter. LOTS of downed and uprooted trees and power lines. Cell phone service is still out as well. We still don't have electricity, but luckily Meredith, my best friend in the whole world, got power back on Saturday night so we've been here since Sunday. Hopefully her and Lance don't get too sick of us. We are so lucky they took us in.
Mom, if you read this, I can't get calls yet so probably just wait until Sunday when you get off the ship, or email if you can. LOVE YOU!!!

Stats

Took Will to the doctor on Tuesday for his 12 month check up. He weighed 27 1/2 pounds and was 29 3/4 inches long. So I was a little off, but not by much. My little boy is still HUGE and it's getting harder and harder to lug him around :)

Everyone stay safe.

Will's 1 year pics

For Will's 1st birthday Grammie took him and had his first professional pictures made. These are just scans of the pics so the quality isn't that great. But he's still such a cutie.

Lamb Family Update

Lots have been a happenin around here. Will turned 1 the Friday before I went back to work and things haven't slowed down since. So I apologize that this update is coming so late.
Will has been doing great. He turned 1 and definitely turned into a toddler over night. He is such an easygoing little guy (I say this quietly, so as not to jinx it) :-) He sleeps great at night, naps great in the daytime. About 2 weeks before he turned 1 I started taking bottles away from him during the day and giving him a sippy cup. When I realized that he really could care less either way I took away the bottles completely with no fuss. I kept the last bottle before he went to bed for a few weeks, more for my comfort than his because that was our cuddle time, but as of last week, No More Bottles. It's amazing. The pacifier might be a different story. He doesn't use it all the time, just sleep time, car rides, and when he's really upset, so I figured I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
Will is also more and more independent. He is walking more and more. A few posts down I posted a video of him. He also will not eat any babyfood whatsoever. All tablefoods now. If he can't feed himself, he won't eat it :-) His two bottom teeth are completely in, and 4 of his top teeth all cut through in the last week. With very little fuss (for which I thank God for) :-) He doesn't go in for his 12 month check up until next week so I'm not sure what he weighs or how tall he his but my guess is about 27 pounds about about 31 or 32 inches long. I'll let you know next week how close I was.
My pregnant behind is tired though :-) I know I know you don't have to say it. "if I'm tired now just wait till the baby comes..." blah :-) Last dr. appt was great, everything looks and sounds great. I go back to the dr next Thursday. Big ultrasound isn't until Oct. 14th. I think it's a boy, Brandon thinks it's a girl. Will thinks it's a boy too since he's been saying "bubbubbubbubbub" a lot lately :-) Thats about it here. I'll try not to be a blog slacker anymore, but I can't make any promises....
Random cuteness pics:
bathtime baby
on Saturday mornings I let him eat his breakfast in the walker while he watches cartoons
He found his nose, now his finger is always there.....

Future Tiger

This past Saturday was the kickoff to a great season of LSU football. While I wasn't born an LSU fan, I am one by marriage (shhh, i'm still a sooner fan too!!) :-) But Will has it in his blood and there is no denying who he roots for. Geaux Tigers!!

Mullet Man

Business in the front
Party in the back

Brandon won't let me cut his hair yet. So my beautiful little boy has a mullet. He's still so stinkin' cute though!! Definitely the cutest mullet I've ever seen HAHA

Walkin' Man

I finally was able to capture on video Will walking. It's pretty cute but I'll admit it, I'm biased. He walks with his arms straight out in front of him. My guess is to balance out his wide load in the rear (hey, he is my child after all, haha). It makes him look like a drunk Frankenstein. Anyways, sorry he only has a diaper on, but at home, he really would rather not wear clothes :-)

For Grammie

A few pics for Will's Grammie since she's out of town......

I'll update as soon as I have time. I went back to work this week and Brandon has been working nights. As I'm typing this Will is ripping up computer paper. I promise I'll give a good update soon.

Surprise!!

For those of you that don't know yet, I'M PREGNANT!!! I KNOW!! Crazy. It's still pretty early, I'm only about 7 weeks along. I wanted to wait a little longer to tell people but my cute husband has already told everyone he knows and posted it on his myspace page, so I figured I might as well tell people too :-) We are really excited. I'm due on February 24th but I'll have a c-section so it'll be sometime before then. Hopefully the 13th right Mom ;-) haha Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Will update:
He is almost 11 months old, and even though he is quite the handful, he is such a great baby. He is very nosy, and always has to know whats going on around him. Loves to explore, and pretty much has no fear. He isn't walking yet but it's only a matter of time. He is starting to stand independently for longer and longer periods of time. I've seen him take like one step but then he realizes what he's doing and falls down. So I think he'll be walking soon. His 2nd tooth just cut through on the bottom next to his first one. Man, was that an ordeal. TEETHING SUCKS!!!
I can't believe he is almost 1. The year has flown by.

New stuff

We kept our nephew Kade this week and Will has had a BLAST having him here. Not to sure Kade has had as much fun with Will following him around everywhere he goes, but they both seemed to enjoy each others company.

Took Will swimming for the first time on Sunday and he LOVED it. Stayed in there for hours splashing and floating around. He didn't even mind water in his face. We figure he wouldn't mind the water too much with as much as he loves bathtime but it was amazing. Here are some pics from Sunday with Will's cool new float.

He's such a big boy now. He feeds himself and drinks out of a sippy cup like a pro.

Even he want to pinch those cheeks :-)
Bathtub Mohawk
Loves his rubber ducky
His new favorite activity, accompanied by banging the pot on the ground and yelling.

10 months old

Well, he's 10 months old now. Only 2 more months until his 1st birthday. What can I say about him other than he is awesome. He is just the sweetest, funniest, good natured, fun loving little boy I've been around. Really he is great. We love him more than anything in the world, there aren't even words to describe it.
He is getting more and more independent by the day. He would much rather feed himself then eat any kind of baby food off of a spoon, which had me worried that he wasn't eating enough, but his doctor assured me that he wasn't going to be starving himself. We went to the doctor a little over a week ago because he got thrush (AGAIN! This was the 3rd time) and he weighed 24 1/2 pounds and was 29 3/4 inches long. Growing big and strong. I love being home with him and I pretty sure he feels the same way and we have quickly settled into a pretty good routine. I look forward to a busy summer ahead.

Almost too big for the swing, but he loves it!
His favorite spot.
He thinks I'm funny :-)
He's precioius
Peek a boo
I didn't do it!
If you look close you can see his 1 tooth
