I have a case of the "mondays"

When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?
Psalm 56:3-4

"The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning." Lamentations 3:22-23

HOPE YOU HAVE A BLESSED WEEK!!!

Catch up

Since I was such a blog slacker for a while I needed to play catch up. If you scroll down I have posted a bazillion pics. I had over 200 pictures on my camera, thats just craziness. But I'm CRAZY about my kids and love to take pictures of them.
Will is 2 now and is no longer my chunky baby. He weighs over 30 pounds but has gotten taller and has really thinned out. Now he looks like such a big boy and not my little baby. His vocabulary has really exploded. We still only understand every few words but he has these long elaborate sentences and we wish desperately that we knew what he was saying because we know it's got to be something really important. When Ella first came along Will wasn't too sure about her. He was almost a little scared of her and kind of stayed away. Now that Ella is playing more and more and is a lot more mobile, he likes to play with her. BUT, he has also started to get a tad bit jealous of her. Any toy that is hers he has to play with too. Her bouncy seat, the jumper, bumbo seat, even her swing he feels he has to get in if she isn't in it. And we try to get on to him but sometimes it's really funny to see this 30 pound 2 year old trying to sit in an infant swing. He is for the most part really good with Ella. Finally in the last couple of weeks he has really started to play with her, and his favorite thing to do is hold her hand and try to make her laugh. He is a great big brother. He also LOVES his cousins. He constantly says "Kade" because he wants to go play with them so bad. Whenever they are together he follows him everywhere and they play and play and play. I'm looking forward to watching out they interact together as they get older.
Ella is MOBILE!! and FAST!! She has mastered crawling on her hands and knees, and is pulling up and cruising all along the furniture. She adores her brother. LOVES LOVES LOVES him, and thinks he is so funny. She follows him everywhere, and I'm pretty sure that it won't be long before she is walking because she wants to keep up with him so bad. She is definitely a spirited child but is also very sweet, and very happy. And She smiles A.LOT.
She really doesn't like bows very much, and this is really the only one she has. I think it's ridiculously big but looks oh so cute on her.
She'll be walking in no time.
Momma and her babies
He's so grown up
We haven't really mastered the sippy cup yet, we mainly just chew on it.

Doesn't he just look so pitiful?!?! We got the flu in our house and it WAS NOT FUN!! Ella had it too and hers was a lot worse than Will's was but Will still felt pretty miserable.

That tongue!! She is always sticking it out. It makes eating messy, but trust me it doesn't stop her from eating.

Holding hands

Daddy and his babies. Doesn't Will looked so thrilled?!? This illustrates the attitude we get from him A LOT. I'm not looking forward to his teenage years....

Hanging out in the hammock
Playing with her leapfrog table

Catching up on some light reading in Ella's swing. This boy insists on playing with everything that belongs to his sister. Jealousy is definitely an issue in our house.

Rockin out on the drums
living room camping is the best.

July 2009

July 4th we had a bbq at MeMe and PawPaw with Kade and Kainon. They got a big water slide for all the kids. Will loved it but wouldn't go down it by himself so Daddy had to go too.
Kade on the slide
Kainon going down the slide backwards

July was pretty boring. We really didn't do much of anything. Played around at the mall almost every week. Went to story hour at the library. We are very boring people :-) But, we do have lots of fun play time at home

June 2009

June was the first month of our summer vacation and it was pretty busy. I got a little stir crazy early on so we tried to go out and do something several times a week. Mostly we just went to the mall and walked around and I let Will play in there play area, mainly cause its free :-) Gotta love cheap entertainment.

Ella enjoying some time in her new jumper

Cheesy grin

Seriously, the boy has some toy jealousy issues. I'm surprised he didn't pee on it to mark his territory. And I really wanted to get on to him for doing this, but I couldn't stop laughing.

Will put his sippy cup in a koozie. True testament that toddlers notice EVERYTHING

Ella's cheesy grin

We took a trip to Baton Rouge for Fathers Day weekend. We decided to leave on Thursday when Brandon got off work so that we would have an entire extra day. This was a BAD idea. The kids slept most of the way (which we had expected) but we were hoping that after a little visiting they would go back to sleep. Well, we were WAY wrong. Neither of my darling children wanted to go back to sleep at all, and both decided to have a screaming contest until 2 am. Then Ella decided to get up a 6 and since we were all sharing a room, Will decided since everyone else was up that he would get up too. Once we got the sleeping situation under control we had a really nice visit with Brandon's OPapa.
We spent a lot of time outside because the weather was pretty nice. Brandon's mom and our nephew Kainon (he is 3) came too so we set up the pool and splash pad outside for the kids to play with. They had a BLAST!!

Before Summer

When I finally downloaded all the pictures off of my camera I realized I had a TON of pictures on there from before the summer. So I'm gonna put these pics on here too. I go through the blog a lot sometimes to look at how big my kids have gotten and marvel at all the things they've done so far. Sometimes when I miss them during the day I'll go back and look at all of their pictures (I know my mom does this too :-)). So these are more for my benefit then anything :-) But I hope you enjoy them as well.
The boy loves raviolis!
but as you can see he cannot eat them with clothes on!
Very strange child, he LOVES to brush his teeth
Will sitting in his sister's bumbo chair.
He does NOT like that we've given his sister some of his old stuff.
Daddy and his babies in Astros gear
Chuck E Cheese
Eating at his big boy table
Pretty girl in a pretty bow
He's rather territorial :) When he wasn't sitting in the chair he was carrying it around. Determined to not let Ella sit in it. He sat in time out A LOT for this :)
