3 months old

Well, my little baby isn't so little anymore. He's growing so fast and getting so big. He's about 16 pounds, 24 1/2 inches long, and is barely fitting in size 3-6 month cloths, 6-9 months is what he's fitting in. Gram (my mom) says that he has rolled over from his tummy to his back, but of course I was at work and have yet to see it. Brandon also swears that he waved bye to him this morning :-) He isn't sleeping through the night yet but he is still a great sleeper so I am definitely not complaining at all. Not really much else to report on our end. Sunday will be my first girls night out. I'm going with my best friend Meredith to see RENT and I'm super excited. I have all next week off for Thanksgiving, and I am definitely looking forward to spending a lot of time with Will and Brandon. Monday Will has his renal scan so please be praying for that, and on Wednesday we will be leaving for Baton Rouge for Thanksgiving. We have been looking forward to this trip for a while, even though I know it will be challenging to travel that far with an infant. But we definitely can't wait for Will to meet his O'Papa (Brandon's grandfather), plus Brandon and I will be going to the LSU vs. Arkansas game on Friday!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!! Just in case I don't get a chance to post again for a while, Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.Oh, and CONGRATS my best friend Meredith who got engaged over the weekend. I am completely over the moon excited for her. Her ring is GORGEOUS, and I can't wait to start helping plan what I know will be the most awesome wedding ever :-) We love you guys!!!

GEAUX TIGERS!!!

This weekend Brandon and I took Will to meet his Uncle Jimbo, Aunt Dani, and cousins Lauren, Colton, Maci, Forrest and Corbin. We all hung out and watched LSU beat Alabama (barely!). It was a great weekend and it was really fun to spend some time with Jimbo and his family since we rarely get to see them. We're hoping that we will all get to hang out again soon. Not a whole lot going on this week. It's the end of the 6 weeks so I'm sure I'll be stressed out. :) Papa D is coming home on Tuesday after being gone a month. We have really missed him and can't wait for him to get home. Brandon is going to see Toby Mac on Saturday with his brother and family. I'm not a huge fan, so I'm going to spend time with Will and my parents. Hope you all have a great week. Here's some pics from the weekend.

My big growing boy

My future linebacker

Will is 2 1/2 months old now and is getting so big. On Tuesday we went to the peditrician and he weighed 15 lbs and was over 23 inches long. He's growing up way too fast!!! We also went to the kidney specialist on Tuesday. Will was born with a multicystic right kidney (right kidney has several cysts in it). We found out about it while I was pregnant and had several ultrasounds to monitor them throughout the pregnancy. The left kidney is fine and seems to have taken over function for the right kidney. The specialist we saw at was really nice and says we need to have some more tests before we see what our course of action will be. On November 19th he will have a renal scan where they have to put in an iv and put some kind of dye that will go through his system and through his kidney. It's very complicated but long story short we are checking to see if there is any blood flow to the right kidney. If there isn't, then more than likely the kidney will just kind of die off on its own. If there is blood flow, because of the cysts, he will be at a higher risk for complications from infection or it could cause high blood pressure which could lead to him having to have the kidney removed. That would be okay, because people live with one kidney all the time, but surgery is definitely not what we want to go through. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers in the coming weeks.
Tomorrow we are taking Will to meet his Uncle Jimbo and Aunt Dani (Brandon's brother and sister in law) and their kids. We will be watching LSU run all over and Alabama and Nick Sabin (who Brandon calls the devil haha). GEAUX TIGERS!!!!

Will's First Halloween

He wasn't so sure about the whole costume thing!

My little moo cow

Daddy dressed up like a Cowboy to go with our Cowbaby

I love these smiles!!!

Will dress up as a cow for Halloween. We weren't going to dress him up because we couldn't find a costume that we liked or one that we thought he would be comfortable in. Tuesday Gram (my mom) and I went to a children's resale shop in Baytown and found that cow outfit for $3.50!!! It was made out of sweatshirt material. When I got to the register it was 50% off so I got it for a $1.88!! So awesome and he looked absolutely adorable in it.

8/15/07 WILL'S BIRTHDAY

Our birth story:
Tuesday 8/14/07
Almost 37 weeks pregnant I went to have an ultrasound at my doctor's office around 10:30 am to check weight and position. Since about 20 weeks Will had been breeched and always measured on the big side on the ultrasound. The ultasound on this day showed that he was still breeched, his weight was off the charts (thought he was around 9 lbs at 3 weeks early!!) and it showed that the amniotic fluid was very low. The doctor was afraid that the fluid was low due to Will's multicystic kidney so he ordered a C-section for the next day!!! I was really nervous and excited at the same time. Good thing my mom was with me or I don't think I would have been able to drive home :-) The rest of the day consisted of going to the hospital to register and get blood drawn, getting things together for the hospital stay, and making tons of phone calls to friends and family. I couldn't eat after midnight that night so Mom and I went and had a big lunch at Cheddar's, my favorite restaurant. The rest of the day and night were kind of a blur. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep that night.
Wednesday 8/15/07
C-section scheduled for 7:30am so we had to arrive at 5:30. I didn't sleep much the night before so I got out of bed around 3:30 and took a shower. We all (me, Brandon, Mom and Dad) headed for the hospital around 4:45 or so. I got checked in, changed, shaved (yeah, that was fun), IV'd, and hooked up to all the monitor and then it was just a waiting game. Tried to relax and shut my eyes but sleep just wasn't going to happen so I just watched the news and talked to Brandon and my parents. They rolled me into the operating room and 7:30 and I got all scrubbed up, got my beautiful epidural and spinal block combo, and William Kenneth Lamb was born at 7:48 am (yeah, my doctor is really fast!!!). He was absolutely gorgeous. He weighed 8lbs 8 oz (very big for a boy that was 3 weeks early, glad I didn't go all the way to 40 weeks), and was 19 inches long. We stayed in the hospital for 3 days and finally came home on the 18th. Here's some pics from Will's birthday

Starting our family blog

So I was lurking around on some blogs and came across the beautiful Ellis family blog (Allison, Aaron, and Noah) and just absolutely loved reading all about how big Noah was getting that I thought it would be cool to start our own family blog. I think it will be neat to look back a year from now and see how much Will has grown and all the milestones that we've reached.
