Happy Anniversary!!!

Today Brandon and I have been married 3 years. Wow, time sure does fly doesn't it. I love him so much and I'm so blessed to have him in my life. He is a wonderful husband that spoils me every single day. He is also a GREAT Daddy!! God certainly blessed me 10 times over by bringing him into my life. I love him more today than I did yesterday, and less than I will tomorrow. Happy Anniversary baby!!

Pics (sorry no update)

My memory card was full and I was just uploading all of the pics. Thought I would just take a minute and post a few of them on here real fast. No update right now though. Sorry I've been a blog slacker. Please take these posted pics as my apology, and I promise to update soon :-)

Aren't boys in overalls just the cutest?

To Kami

This is Kami Yasko (well, actually in this picture, she was still Kami Ellis). :-) She was such a beautiful bride wasn't she. I found this on my computer today. I love this picture. She lives in New York, and I miss her so much.
Kami, just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you, and I miss you like crazy. I think about you everyday, and pray for you every chance I get. God has great things in store for you. You are my hero!!

love

"Proud to be an American.....

where at least I know I'm free....."

Regardless of who you voted for, history was made. That is something to be proud of. I'm proud to be an American.

From John McCain's speech:
"And I call on all Americans, as I have often in this campaign, to not despair of our present difficulties, but to believe, always, in the promise and greatness of America, because nothing is inevitable here. Americans never quit. We never surrender. We never hide from history. We make history."

From Obama's victory speech last night:
"It's the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled - Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of Red States and Blue States: we are, and always will be, the United States of America."

I wanted to write more on the this blog about how I've been feeling regarding the election and the state of our union and just never could quite come up with the right words. My friend Kami and her husband James are among some of the most brilliant people I know. This is an excerpt from Kami's blog that is exactly what I wanted to say.
"I've been scared in my country for at least the last 5 years. I hope and pray that this is the change we need, and I'm not the only one. Over 62 million people also had that same idea. He wasn't elected BECAUSE he's black, he wasn't elected because he's a socialist (which he's not), he wasn't elected because we're all stupid, he was elected because people want change, they want hope...hope that it will get better. Can he do it? hopefully. I pray that WE can. Americans. It involves all of us, believing and working towards the same cause: Making this country as great as we know it can be. "

BIG ULTRASOUND

So we had our big ultrasound yesterday. I was exactly 21 weeks. It went absolutely perfect. The baby was moving around A LOT in there but everything looked absolutely perfect. Baby is measuring a little bit ahead at 22 weeks 5 days which just means I'll probably be looking at another big baby just like Will. But I'll have a repeat C section probably around 38 weeks, so we are looking at around Feb. 9th or 10th. Other than that, no problems to report whatsoever which we are very grateful for. Definitely an answer to our prayers. God has definitely blessed us richly.

I'm sure everyone is curious to know what we are having......

Well.......

We are very excited to introduce our LITTLE GIRL!!!!! We will be naming her Ella Lee (Ella after my Memaw, Lee is my best friend Meredith's middle name). We are more excited then we can possibly express. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Hurricane Ike

Hey everybody. Just wanted to let everyone know that we are okay. Our street faired very well during the storm, although I can't say that for the rest of the neighborhood, or city for that matter. LOTS of downed and uprooted trees and power lines. Cell phone service is still out as well. We still don't have electricity, but luckily Meredith, my best friend in the whole world, got power back on Saturday night so we've been here since Sunday. Hopefully her and Lance don't get too sick of us. We are so lucky they took us in.
Mom, if you read this, I can't get calls yet so probably just wait until Sunday when you get off the ship, or email if you can. LOVE YOU!!!

Stats

Took Will to the doctor on Tuesday for his 12 month check up. He weighed 27 1/2 pounds and was 29 3/4 inches long. So I was a little off, but not by much. My little boy is still HUGE and it's getting harder and harder to lug him around :)

Everyone stay safe.
