Our future home

Lots of changes in store for the Lamb family and we are so excited. If all goes well (and as planned) we will be purchasing our first home at the end of March. We are scheduled to close on March 28th. It's a relatively new house, built in 2003, and only had 1 owner but they haven't lived in the house in a year. It's in foreclosure so we will need to do a little bit of work to before we move in (mostly painting, cleaning, and a few minor other things) and then there are a few maintenence things that will need to get done but that can wait till we move in. It's 1944 sq ft and 4 bedrooms 2 baths!!! We love it and can't wait to move in. Here are a view pics that I took while waiting for the inspector. I didn't get as many as I would have liked but you still get the idea.

Almost 7 months old!!!!

I can't believe Will is almost 7 months old already. He has grown so much in just a months time. Will can now sit independently for quite some time. He's rolling and rolling and rolling and then he rolls some more. I've never seen a baby roll so fast. I'm not sure if he'll ever want to crawl or walk because there's no way he would be able to get there as fast as he can roll :-) He is also talking up a storm. Not really saying any specific words, but he babbles non stop and has learned to shreak which is always fun. He weighs a little over 21 pounds and is 27 3/4 inches long. Still growing like a weed.
Always happy when it's dinner time!!

6 months old

Well he's actually a little older than 6 months now, but on his 6 month birthday we all had a bad virus, and Will also got pink eye, which was not fun. Last week we were starting to get better and this week we are finally all better (and praying that we stay that way). We went to the doctor on 2/15 (for the pink eye, not his 6 month shots) and Will weighed almost 21 lbs and was 27 1/2 inches long. He certainly is momma's big ole boy. Here's some pics. Hope you enjoy.

Rough week

It has been a pretty rough week in our house. On Monday I just happened to go visit Will at daycare during my conference period. My favorite girl in there (and she's my favorite because she LOVES Will and takes excellent care of him) told me he was fighting eating and she looked in his mouth and thought that he had thrush. So I looked and he had in on his tongue and on the inside of his lips. So we went to the doctor that afternoon and got some medicine. He didn't eat real well that day but still slept through the night so it wasn't making him that uncomfortable. Tueday he was really good at daycare, still didn't eat a whole lot but he was okay. Tuesday night he went to sleep about 8:00 and woke up at about 11:30 and was sick. He was really stopped up and congested, having trouble breathing and was choking a little when he would cough if he was laying on his back. He also ran a little bit of a fever which definitely scared me but after a little tylenol it went down. He was just miserable and neither of got much sleep. I ended up calling into work and taking him to the doctor again for the second time this week. He got some antibiotics but is still pretty congested. Doc said we could give him some Robitussin which made him kind of sleepy but I think it made him feel better because he ate better and slept through the night last night. I'm so glad Grammy and Papa D are home. They are lifesavers and are watching him today so he didn't have to go back to the germy daycare, but he'll be back there tomorrow. I'm sure the ladies there are missing their little buddy.
I just hate seeing my happy baby so miserable like that. Just praying that he gets better soon. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Doctors Appointment

Just wanted to give you guys an update. I took Will to the kidney specialist on Tuesday for a checkup (Will was born with a right kidney that does not function and is actually just a big ball of cysts). The docs said that based on the ultrasound he had in November, that the right kidney has no function and no blood flow to it (which is good, that means it will just shrink and die off), and that the left kidney has taken over all the function and looks good. This is very good news. We will just have to continue to have blood work every 6 months and ultrasounds every year till Will is about 5 years old. We have to keep an eye on his blood pressure (high blood pressure is bad for the kidney), make sure he doesn't get any serious or severe UTI which could damage his one good kidney. THe doc said that people live with one kidney all the time, some don't even know that they only have one kidney and so he is a healthy growing boy and to continue to treat him as such. All in all it was a good appointment. God is awesome and has definitely answered our prayers!!!
OH, and they drew a vial of blood out of his hand and he did not cry at all. Not even a wimper. The lady was talking to him and he was actually was laughing and smiling at her. My little man is so strong and brave.
They also weighed him and measured him. He's 5 months and 1 week old, and he weighs 20 POUNDS and 8 oz!!!!!! and was 26 inches long!!! My big ole chunky monkey!!!!! He's getting big and growing too fast!!! But I'm sure I've said that already :)

5 MONTHS OLD!!!

I can't believe Will is 5 months old already!! Time is really flying by. We are starting to get back in the swing of things and are starting to adjust to our new schedule. I went back to work last Monday (1/7) and with that brought some changes. My mom and dad had been keeping Will since I went back to work in October, but they started traveling again so Will started daycare when I went back to work this past week. The first day was rough on me, but I've finally adjusted and so has Will, and am starting to love the ladies that watch him while I'm at work, and they seem to really love Will too. Will is so much fun. He laughs and smiles a lot, and is just growing so fast. We are gradually starting him on baby food. He's eating oatmeal twice a day and LOVES it. He wolfs it down in minutes with minimal amount getting spit out. We will start giving him vegatables in a week or so. Thats whats going on with us. Hope everyone that reads this is doing well.
Here are lots of new pictures. They are kind of out of order a little bit.
